Flat pricing, not per-seat

By The Marsad team

Per-seat pricing makes sense for a tool where each person gets their own value from their own workspace. It makes very little sense for observability, where the value is that everyone is looking at the same production.

Charge per seat and you create a quiet incentive to share one login, or to leave the designer who noticed the bug outside the tool that explains it. That's the opposite of what a monitoring product should encourage.

So we charge per organization

Marsad has three plans and none of them price a person:

  • Free — 10,000 page views and 5,000 errors a month, one project, 30-day retention, no credit card.
  • Solo ($9/mo) — 100,000 page views, 50,000 errors, unlimited projects, 90-day retention.
  • Team ($29/mo) — 1,000,000 page views, 250,000 errors, unlimited projects, unlimited members, 365-day retention.

Free and Solo are single-user, which is the one place the plans differ on people — Solo is for an indie dev with several projects, Team is the moment you have teammates. Once you're on Team, adding the tenth person costs the same as adding the second.

And no surprise bills

The other half of predictable pricing is what happens when you go over. We don't silently meter you and send an invoice you didn't agree to. Pass your included volume and you get three days of grace with reminders — your data keeps flowing while you decide — and if nothing changes, ingestion pauses rather than billing you for it.

A bad deploy that fires a million errors overnight should be a notification, not a bill.
